Puerto Calero Marina Lanzarote
PUERTO CALERO

Also known as Costa Calero, Puerto Calero is the smallest and quietest holiday resort on the island of Lanzarote, but it is certainly well worth visiting.

There are few apartments and hotels from the major operators, but due to the fact that the harbour is so popular, there is plenty of privately owned accommodation that becomes available.

The harbour is a popular stopping off point for yachts between Europe and Africa, or Europe and the Caribbean. It is known as 'millionaires harbour' and a quick walk around it leaves you in no doubt as to why.

Packed full of some of the best yachts in Europe, a morning or afternoon can quite easily be spent walking round enjoying the sights and finding out more about how the other half live.

There is a main walk way along the harbour which is filled with shops, restaurants and a few shops. This is an perfect place for people to visit who want to relax, enjoy good food and views.

Tourism Information Centre in Pueto Calero Lanzarote

A fantastic tourist information centre can be found in the centre of this small resort.

Packed full of information about the local area it also sells a selection of classier souveniers.

Well worth a visit to make sure you get the best out of your visit.

Puerto Calero is now also the host of a whale and dolphin museum.

A recent addition to the resort, this is well worth a visit and the huge sculpture sits proudly outside - a huge attraction if you have youngsters.

Some of the most popular trips leave from Puerto Calero (Lanzarote) including the Yellow Submarine and the Catamaran.

These trips are priced reasonably and give you a chance to get out on the seas arond Lanzarote.

If you don't have your sea legs with you, then take a walk along the top of the harbour wall. This gives fantastic views over the harbour and out to sea.

Once you've had enough of looking round, several high class (and expensive) restaurants are complimented by really good cheaper options.
