With
one of the most spectacular landscapes in the world,
let alone the Canaries, Lanzarote is a particularly
intruiging year round destination which is popular with
UK visitors.
At
38 miles long and 13 miles wide, Lanzarote is one of
the smaller Canary Islands but there is plenty to do
and see - ranging from the spectacular caves of Los
Hervideros to the volcanic history at Timanfaya Volcanic
Park.
Located
just four hours from the UK, traditional white villages
sit alongside more modern resorts such as Costa Teguise,
Playa Blanca or Puerto del Carmen - all developed by
recent tourism.
The
year round temperature, nearly always in the mid-20s
celcius, provides a welcome relief to many UK visitors
who visit the Canaries during the colder winter months
at home.
With
an area of this island for everybody, there is plenty
to choose from and Lanzarote's reputation continues
to be enhanced year-on-year.
